4th Annual Fair Trade Gala: Experiencing India April 21, 2007

The Gala highlights Fair Trade and child labor practices in India, over an Indian themed dinner, live entertainment, fashion show, and silent auction. Guest speakers are Pushpika Freitas, President, Marketplace of India, a fair trade organization providing a global marketplace for low-income women artisan's cooperatives in India and Joan Weissman of Rugmark, a non-profit organization dedicated to ending child labor in the rug industry and providing schools and opportunities to children freed from the weaving looms.
