4TH ANNUAL CESAR CHAVEZ CONVOCATION with MARÍA ELENA DURAZO

María Elena Durazo will be the keynote speaker at the 4th Annual Cesar Chavez Convocation. Initiated in 2004, this event celebrates the life and achievements of labor leader, organizer and first president on the United Farm Workers of America, Cesar Chavez. Cesar's vision for human kind stood for equality, justice and dignity for all Americans.
This event also celebrates the inauguration of the New UC Santa Cruz Center for Labor Studies, based in the Humanities Division. The Center for Labor Studies will offer an ongoing series of lectures, workshops, conferences and public forums on labor and social movements in the U. S. and throughout the world.
