The 4A’s Dallas Council introduces a new professional development workshop series specifically aimed at providing much-needed current information and views for agencies either already immersed in, or planning expansion into, the digital arena.
While much of the workshops’ content is practical information that can be put into action immediately, the overall scope will provide such depth that top managers will want to attend as they deepen their agencies commitment to the digital age.
Three Colloquiums are planned for 2011. Each will address a different topic that is focused on important views needed by agencies in this fast-paced, constantly changing digital world.
The second of our three Colloquiums will be hosted by Jay Friedman, COO, Goodway Group, and author of 30 Days to Digital Expertise.
Highlights
Pulling the trigger on a digital campaign without a solid foundation is a recipe for failure. Prior to considering what new media channels work for a client, it’s important to analyze the Digital Media Marketing Pyramid and make adjustments before layering digital media strategy on top of the existing foundation.
Jay breaks down the Digital Media Marketing Pyramid (from bottom up) to show audiences:
• Why you need a “sticky” website to capture customers, and which elements must be included for digital media campaigns to work
• When and where social media pages and outreach come into play and how to best use them
• Why owning a presence in a local market area using online profiles and listings is the key to a top search engine ranking
• How to optimize a website and online profiles (SEO)
• Tapping into the retargeting goldmine with a search and display mix
• Creating an effective display campaign (e.g., banners, video, social media and more).
