Do you think you have what it takes to write, shoot and edit a short film in just two days? And will your team's movie be better than all the rest? This year's 48 Hour Video Race is free to enter and starts on January 27th at the Tradewinds Tavern screening room in the MCM Elegante.
From 7PM-8PM we'll be screening highlights from this year's Boomtown Film and Music Festival, then at 8PM the race kick's off. Teams will sign in at that time and be assigned a random genre and specific prop. They will then have just two days to make a short film from scratch.
All films made during the race will be screened during the Boomtown Film and Music Festival (Feb. 24-25) and the winner will be announced during the BoomFest awards ceremony.
This second annual 48 Hour Video Race is being presented in partnership with the Lamar University Communications Department, but you don't need to be a student to join in. Anyone can participate, and teams can be any size. For complete rules visit http://boomtownfestival.com/2012videorace
Both the BoomFest preview and the 48 Hour Video Race are free events.
