A first annual juried exhibition by contemporary artists, focusing on life on the south side of Chicago. Free admission.
Established more than six years ago in a restored Bronzeville mansion, Little Black Pearl has recently relocated to a new facility in the same neighborhood. It is part community art center, part artist-in-residence program. The non-profit workshop offers instruction in the basics for youths, as well as a special program for students who have demonstrated an exceptional aptitude for art. The artists work in a variety of media, from paintings and sculpture to furniture and ceramics.
