More than 50,000 used books will be sold at the 43rd annual Dollars for Scholars Used Book Sale, sponsored by the Wilmington branch of the American Association of University Women. Most items are 75 cents to $5, with collectibles priced up to $100. The sale runs March 1-4 at Concord Mall, 4737 Concord Pike, Brandywine Hundred 19801. The sale also includes DVDs, CDs, VHS tapes, vinyl records, sheet music, puzzles, and ephemera. The sale starts at 10 a.m. (11 a.m. on March 4) and ends at 9:30 p.m. (5 p.m. on March 4).
Items are sorted into more than 50 categories and are displayed on tables arranged throughout the mall. Starting at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, most categories go to half price (except for collectibles). All day Sunday, the branch will sell you a supermarket brown bag for $7, which you can fill from all categories (except for collectibles).
