“40 Pounds in 12 Weeks: A Love Story”—Playwright/producer/performer, Pidge Meade, plays all the parts in this 90-minute, multi-character, solo comedy performance which explores the fragile relationships between food and love, parents and children, body image and self-worth. In this mostly hilarious, often poignant retrospective, time flips forward and back from 1986 to 1974 to the present. Meade returns home after her freshman year of college with brand new knowledge in her head…and an additional 40 pounds on her 5-foot frame. Dad, a world-renowned gymnastics coach, takes one look at his oversized daughter and issues an ultimatum: shed the weight by end of summer, or kiss college goodbye!
