The 3rd Annual Cause for the Paws Downtown Pet Party is a free annual event hosted by the Printer’s Alley Merchant Association’s Cause for the Paws and benefiting the Metro Animal Control shelter (the MAC). The PAMA Cause for the Paws began as an effort to raise much need funds, facilitate adoptions and raise public awareness about the pets sheltered at the MAC. Since it’s inauguration in 2005, the Cause for the Paws Downtown Pet Party has steadily grown into one of the south’s largest and best pet and family arts and entertainment events. Thousands of people are expected to converge on downtown Nashville on October 6th, 2007 to enjoy an amazing variety of entertainment. A free day long concert featuring the talented Jonell Mosser and many other fabulous performers on the awe inspiring steps of Legislative Plaza. The smooth sounds of jazz and rhythmic blues provide the backdrop as area restaurants and an eclectic wine sampling transform the world famous Printer’s Alley into a potpourri of delicious smells and exquisite flavors. The streets of Downtown Nashville will become a bustling marketplace filled with interesting and unique crafters and artists. Adults and children alike will be astonished at the endless demonstrations of pets and wildlife and much more. Dozens of shelters from across the region will be on hand with hundreds of abandoned and homeless pets available for adoption.
