38th Annual Rainbow Push Coalition and Citizen Education Fund Convention July 1, 2009

Greetings Everyone,

Author and Motivational Speaker Marcus Jones will be holding a workshop at the 38th Annual Rainbow Push Convention (Room W185). Marcus Jones grew up on the South Side of Chicago in the Jeffery Manor community. He was a member of a gang until he was shot four times and paralyzed. After serving a ten-year sentence he turned his life around and now shares his experience and knowledge with the youth in Chicago. Mr. Jones works to aspire children and teens to stay in school and strive to do something with themselves.

Marcus Jones aims to answer these questions and more.

Why has violence increased signficantly in our community? What causes young men and women to make bad choices leading to drug use, violence, dealing or other crimes?

I'm encouraging the whole family to attend this wonderful event June 27th thru July 1, 2009. From various areas of expertise come to inspire our convention participants.
