The 33rd Annual Treasure Coast Blue Water Open Offshore Charity Fishing Tournament will be held Saturday, May 23, at the Fort Pierce City Marina, 1 Avenue A, Fort Pierce (one-eighth mile south of the South Bridge on the Intracoastal Waterway). The tournament begins at 6:30 that morning. Registration for the tournament will be held near the Marina’s Tiki Bar Friday, May 22, from 6:00-7:00 pm, followed by the Captains’ Meeting at 7:00 pm. The weather date is Sunday, May 24. This annual event, hosted by the Exchange Club of Indian River Foundation, is the Treasure Coast’s oldest fishing tournament. Cash prizes will be awarded in three fish categories, dolphin, grouper, and kingfish and for the Top Boat, based on a minimum of 60 boat entries. The Junior Angler and Lady Angler will also receive awards. All proceeds benefit the foundation’s local youth-related charities for prevention of child abuse. Register by May 15 and save $50!
