Festival Overview
...The Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Festival (the “Festival”), presented in collaboration with 120+ Asian American community organizations, is the nation’s oldest and most prestigious event dedicated to honoring Asian Americans and the contributions of Asian American to the U.S.. The Festival has been celebrating Asian American and Pacific Islander culture, heritage, its organizations and individuals since 1979.
The Coalition of Asian/Pacific Americans, and its Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Festival are regarded as 501C(3) non profit charities. Members of the Festival planning committee, and CAPA, are all volunteers who are executives and business owners in their chosen careers and professions. They receive intrinsic reward by giving back to the Asian American community and derive no monetary compensation directly from the Festival.
In a city with 1.35 million Asians, your organization was recognized as one to benefit most by connecting to and being a champion for the Asian American community. We likewise invite you and your organization to celebrate a proud and select community as active sponsors in this time honored event that began three decades ago.
