Join us this rare and special evening of "Three Piano Trios" featuring 3 most known female pianists in Singapore - Mei Sheum, Alina Ramirez and Aya Sekine.
Organised by 2 leading forces for international music collaborations, Mexi MUSIC & Bon Goût Music.
These most experienced and seasoned pianists will be supported by most creative Jazz bassist of the scene - seasoned Tony Makarome and most sought after two, Hiroaki Maekawa and Jonathan Ho.
The showcase will also feature only 1 drummer - the guest drummer Rodrigo Villanueva (Mexico/USA) hailing from North Texas, where he is an associate professor of Jazz studies at North Texas University. He is also known as the drummer of legendary bass player Eddie Gomez.
Each trio will showcase familiar & obscure Jazz standards, some originals but from new angles and possibilities in improvisation with this fresh line up through language of Jazz and Latin roots. The colourful backgrounds of all will sure surprise all who attends, including the musicians themselves!
