2Tue: Capitol Hill Art Walk October 9, 2007

The 2Tue: Capitol Hill Art Walk is held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month and features events at shops and galleries around the Pike/Pine corridor. The October 9th art walk will feature events at over a dozen venues from 14th street down to Melrose Ave and over to East Olive Way. NEW HOURS: Starting in October, the 2Tue: Capitol Hill Art Walk will be from 5-8pm.

Some October highlights include:
The Galactic Boutique: Store and Gallery presents the erotic work of photographer Kevin Brannaman. Brannaman uses the male body and all its dazzling sexual power as a vehicle to compose images of high eroticism and dazzling sexual power.



Katherine Morgan’s images are inspired by her fascination with the colors and rhythms of moving water and the surfaces over which they flow. Morgan uses colored pencils, drawing on both sides of polyester drafting film. The images are then reworked with washes of solvents, creating subtle illusions of texture and dimension. Her work will be on display at Whimsy Home Décor from October 6th – October 14th.



The Seattle LGBT Center features the work of 18 LGBTQ artists in a sci-fi/fantasy/horror themed group show "Vampire Pixies from Uranus". Appropriately, the show runs through Halloween.



Artist Marc-Anthony shows his Charcoal/Graphite/Mixed Media pieces at Uncle Elizabeth’s. This show is a visual celebration of his evolving artistry from the early 90's to present year.



A scientist first and artist second, Katherine Reinhart seeks to capture the natural beauty of the world in her photographs. Reinhart, who will be showing her work at The Copper Vine has had no formal training in photography whatsoever, nor have any of her images been touched by Photoshop
