Globally there is increased pressure for mines to operate safely and move towards zero harm. Mining industry is consciously shifting their mind-set toward focusing on employee’s health, safety and emergency preparedness. Mining leaders believe that that “Zero Harm” is not just about making safety a core value, It is about eliminating physical injuries and illnesses, taking control of health and safety, and consistently choosing more safe behaviors. 2nd LatAm Health, Safety & Rescue in Mining attempts to showcase new concepts and technology in mine site health and safety, focusing on innovative strategy adopted by the mining leaders to create Safety Culture.
