Foundation for Animals In Risk (FAIR) will be hosting their 2nd Annual Woof ‘n’ Walk fundraiser on Sunday, October 14th at Reid Park from 8 a.m. to noon. The event celebrates FAIR’s 11th year of rescuing animals in Pima County and the entire community is invited to attend.
All registered walkers will receive a free event T-shirt and dog bandana. Registration forms may be obtained on FAIR’s web site www.faircares.org, by emailing azcatscratchfever@gmail.com or by calling 520-904-3285. Registration fees are $25 per dog (one dog per walker) or $20 if submitted before October 1st. The event is sponsored in part by Animal Birth Control of Tucson, Lalama Building & Design and Canyon Community Bank. All proceeds benefit the animals at FAIR.
In addition to the distance-optional walk, the event will include vendors, food, music, contests, animals available for adoption, a puppy petting pen, children’s crafts and pet blessings. The walker who collects the most donations for FAIR will win $100 cash the day of the event.
FAIR is a non-profit 501(c)(3) no-kill animal rescue organization committed to promoting quality adoptions throughout Pima County. The Woof ‘n’ Walk serves as a fun way to celebrate responsible pet ownership with Tucson’s pet-loving community. Fundraising events allow FAIR to continue their mission by providing veterinary care, foster homes and supplies for rescued animals.
