Ghetto Eyez Publishing will host their Second Annual Ladies Tea at the South Oxford Space located in the Fort Greene section of Brooklyn. The event is sponsored in part by Def Beat Entertainment and Harlem Diamond (www.harlemdiamond.com). World renowned AIDS activist, Maria Davis, will be the keynote speaker. Pastry Chef Rodney Jones, of Bill Jones Pastry (http://www.iambilljones.com/) will provide the desserts. The afternoon will consist of live music, an art auction, and a discussion of the plight of young women of color, community-based minority businesses and economic independence. Below outlines the time and summary of the event:
2:30-3:15 There will be a chocolate fountain and fresh strawberries, mimosas and mint juleps will be served
3:15-3:30 Introduction by Joseph C. Grant, Jr. and introduction of the Art Auction and Raffles/ Best Bonnet
3:30-4:30 Tea will be served along with finger sandwiches and assorted scones
4:15-4:30 Live performance
4:30-5:00 Guest Speaker
5:00-6:00 Raffle winners announced; desserts served
