Yousry Sharif is internationally celebrated as a choreographer and instructor of Middle Eastern Dance. Based in New York City, he established The Egyptian Academy of Oriental Dance. He is known for his richly expressive and unique style and has created an impressive contingent of professional proteges. Over the years, his popularity has grown to such on extent that he tours the globe eight months of the year to headline seminars as a guest artist/instructor. A partial list of his annual workshops includes journeys to Sweden, Finland, Asia, Latin America, Europe, Egypt, and Australia.

Discussion, DVD Presentation and Rhythms Overview with Nourhan Sharif
Watch clips of famous and not-so-famous Egyptian dancers, learn stylistic differences and ask questions! Nourhan will show video clips and share her insights on Egyptian dance and musical interpretation, followed by an Q & A. Afterward, Nourhan will teach an introduction to Egyptian rhythms and common steps to incorporate rhythms into your muscle memory (open to all levels).
Highly recommended for dancers interested in broadening their understanding of Arabic music and dance.
