The Can't be Tamed organization benefits Troy's Angels, which we are trying to grow into an entity that aids St. Louis and surrounding area families when they first transition home after experiencing a spinal cord injury with such things as temporary inhome help, transportation to medical appointments, and referral to other help organizations when needed.
We have gathered information from such organizations as Christopher Reeves Foundation and the Disabled American Veterans, amongst others, to provide info to the public about the growing incidence of paralysis.
The premise of the walk and roll athon is to get wheelchair participants and walkers out on the track together.

Local Metal Band Challenges Community
“Come walk a mile for spinal cord injury”
Thirteen A Cross, a local up and coming metal band, is challenging the community, including all local musicians, to come out June 27 and join them in walking a mile for spinal cord injury.
“Three years ago on June 27 our youngest son, Troy, fell and broke his neck,” says David Kwiecien, bassist for Thirteen A Cross. “When he came home it was really hard for us to meet his needs. So, my wife, Debby, and Troy have founded this organization to help other families.”
The first Can’t be Tamed Quad Walk & Roll-a-thon was held Labor Day 2009. Last year, Thomm Morgan, the man who walks for those who can’t, walked 50 miles in less than 24 hours, ending the walk in Pacific, Mo.
This year the walk will feature, Thirteen A Cross, walking a mile with handicap individuals rolling with them and Pat Rummerfield, the first quad to ever walk, opening the walk and speaking inspirationally for all those who attend.
Registration for the walk begins at 9 a.m. June 27 in Kircher Park, Eureka, Mo. The walk begins at 10 a.m. Pre-registration is $10 pp or $20 per family; day of registration is $15 pp or $25 per family. Pre-register by emailing cantbetamed2@yahoo.com.
