Nandikars 25th National Theatre Festival, features leading troupes from all over the country as well as from beyond its borders.
A prestigious event on the cultural calendar, this year festival is dedicated to the memory of Indian playwrights Vijay Tendulkar, Chetan Datar and Bangladeshi Selim Al Deen, who passed away earlier this year.
Comprising 20 performances, 10 of which are for children and young people, it promises to do its bit in helping to transcend the general gloom and despondency in our hearts in the wake of the recent national tragedy.
Besides staging of plays, an exhibition on children theatre and seminars on departed theatre greats are also planned.
