The Coulterville Park (Junction of Hwys. 49 and 132) is the hub of an
old fashioned, free, family oriented event, complete with a parade down Main Street (starts promptly at 10am) in Historic Coulterville; a car show; music; craft, art, food and merchandise vendors; and the all important Howlin’ Contest. Howlin’ contestant sign-ups are on site the day of the event through the start of the contest at 2 pm, with three divisions: Adult, Child or Pup-Pak (group of 2 or more children) at a cost of $5 per entry. The Car Show entry fee of $20 includes complimentary parade registration. Parade registration for all other entries is only $10 (for one person or a group). Mounted groups are welcome. A 10’by10’ vendor space is just $25. Sponsorships begin at just $75.
Artists, crafts’ people, antique and classic car buffs are encouraged to sign up now! Deadline for car and/or parade entries, as well as for booths and sponsorships is May 3rd. Instead of watching, see how much fun participating can be! This event is sponsored by the Coyote Howl Committee, a 501c6 nonprofit organization, and is a fund raising event benefiting the Northern Mariposa County History Center.
The Coyote Howl Dinner Dance winds down the day’s activities, starting at 5:30 pm, in the Coulter Café garden. A great meal and dancing to the hot sounds of the Blue Box Bayou Band can be enjoyed for just $15 per person.
Contact Gail Tyler, Howl Chair, at 209-878-3015 or email her at www.info@coultervillemusem.org for vendor, sponsor, parade and car entry applications. Dinner tickets can be obtained through Gail or at the Coulter Café.
A great way to enjoy springtime!
