Peninsula Volunteers, Inc. (PVI) 21st Annual Authors Salon Luncheon returns to the Peninsula on Sunday, March 4, 2012, from 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Sharon Heights Golf and County Club, 2900 Sand Hill Road, Menlo Park. This premier literary event is held in partnership with Books Inc. in Palo Alto.
The terrific line up of best-selling authors include Dr. Abraham Verghese, author of Cutting for Stone, and Professor of Medicine, Stanford University Medical School; Adam Hochschild, To End All Wars, finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award; Annie Barrows, author of the Ivy and Bean children's series and The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society; historian Jim Newton, Editor-at-Large at the Los Angeles Times and author of Eisenhower: The White House Years; and Ellen Sussman, French Lessons, soon be made into a movie. Mystery writer Sheldon Siegel, known for his best-selling New York Times courtroom dramas, will moderate the panel.
