Following Wednesday's announcement of the SAG Award nominees, the Golden Globes will present their nominations for the best in TV and film Thursday morning. While the SAG Awards tend to be dull and predictable, the Golden Globes often embrace newer shows.

Last year the Golden Globes were the first to honor Homeland and star Claire Danes. They also nominated other new shows like Game of Thrones, Boss, Revenge, American Horror Story, Necessary Roughness, Enlightened, Episodes and New Girl.

So while you can expect old favorites like Homeland, Mad Men, 30 Rock and Modern Family to pick up plenty of nominations, here are my predictions for what new shows they might honor.
