Elegant Pacific Heights Mansion Features
West Coast’s Top Designers
Special
The 2011 San Francisco Decorator Showcase opens its doors to the public for a sneak peek inside one of San Francisco’s elegant Pacific Heights mansions. Located at 2950 Vallejo Street (near Lyon), the 2011 Showcase takes place from April 30 through May 30.
The lovely brick Italian villa estate is located on one of the most coveted blocks in San Francisco near the Presidio with unmatched views of the Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco Bay and beyond. The grand home was originally constructed in 1927 by Gottschalkand Rist, the noted architects of Villa Montalvo in Saratoga.
The four floors of living space in this classic mansion have been completely renovated and remade into a stunning showhouse with modern, high-end appliances and finishes. The kitchen and baths have been completely remodeled and modernized; a beautiful library features richwood paneling; elegant dining and living rooms offer lovely Bay and sweeping views of the Golden Gate. The upper two floors feature a penthouse bedroom; sitting room, master bedroom and bath; a rumpus room; with the lower level featuring a champagne cellar, crafts room and ultimate nanny’s suite, and more.
The San Francisco Decorator Showcase will also host “Friday Evenings at Showcase” events – a month-long series of weekly events at the Showcase home that highlight design, art and food trends. Please check out DecoratorShowcase.com for details and updates.
Since 1977, the annual San Francisco Decorator Showcase has benefited San Francisco University High School's financial aid program, raising over $11 million in its 33 years. The San Francisco Decorator Showcase is widely considered to be the West Coast's premiere design showhouse event, renowned for featuring the work of the region's top interior and landscape designers. Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, the participation of hundreds of accomplished designers, the school's trustees, parents, faculty, alumni, students, friends, and the thousands of Showcase visitors each year; the San Francisco Decorator Showcase allows San Francisco University High School to offer financial aid to its students. It is through the community's continued support that quality education has been made available over the past three decades to hundreds of deserving Bay Area students. The 2010 Decorator Showcase raised over $590,000.
Special thanks to Electrolux ICON, who provided all of the appliances in the kitchen; and Benjamin Moore, who provided the interior paint for the home. Thank you, also, to our media sponsors Traditional Home, San Francisco magazine and ABC7.
