2011 Life Time Chicago Triathlon

Celebrating its 29th year in 2011, the Life Time Chicago Triathlon is the fifth stop of the seven-race Life Time Triathlon Series’ Race to the Toyota Cup. Taking place along Chicago’s lakefront, one of the world’s largest triathlon features an international-distance course comprised of a 1.5-kilometer (0.93 mile) swim, 40-kilometer (24.8-mile) bike and 10-kilometer (6.2-mile) run. The event also features a sprint-distance course with a 0.75-kilometer (0.47-mile) swim, 22-kilometer (13.67-mile) bike and five-kilometer (3.1-mile) run.
Spectators and triathlon fans alike can watch professional triathletes from around the world compete in this can’t miss event from great viewing locations along the course.
Officially launched in 2007, the Life Time Chicago Triathlon Triple Challenge offers triathletes who can’t get enough of racing on Chicago’s beautiful lakefront the opportunity to compete in all three Chicago Triathlon events in a single weekend. Triathlon enthusiasts who wish to enter the Fleet Feet Sports SuperSprint Triathlon on Saturday and both the sprint distance and international distance events of the Life Time Chicago Triathlon on Sunday, for a weekend total of 109-kilometer (68 miles), which includes a 2.6-kilometer (1.63-mile) swim, 71.89-kilometer (44.67-mile) bike and 17.46-kilometer (10.85-mile) run.
Registration is $160-$170 for individual entries in the 2011 Life Time Chicago Triathlon and $300-$310 for the Life Time Chicago Triathlon Triple Challenge. For more information, visit www.chicagotriathlon.com.
