Monday, August 8 – A History of America in Ten Objects or Less!
Hands on history! Join us as we tell the story of our country, from colonization through the modern day in 10 artifacts or less.
Tuesday, August 9 – Feathered & Furred: The Role of Animals in History
They have plowed our fields, carried our warriors into battle, and symbolized empires throughout history. Come learn how animals have played a part in human history.
Wednesday, August 10 – First Nations
Native Americans have occupied our country for thousands of years. Discover the diversity of cultures and customs of America’s First Nations.
Thursday, August 11 – Versus
Hatfields vs. McCoys. English vs. French. Red Sox vs. Yankees. History is full of folks who just couldn’t get along. We’ll take a look at some famous rivalries throughout the ages.
Friday, August 12 – You’re the Curator
Take an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at the process of designing and creating an exhibit. Campers will use their new-found knowledge to create a mini-exhibit of their own.
• All camps are led by museum education professionals.
