Clark County Indiana area volunteers needed to help clean-up the banks of the Ohio River on Saturday, July 23, 2011 in Clarksville, Indiana. The annual, Clark County River Sweep was rescheduled due to bad weather on previous date. Civic organizations, student clubs, scouts, families, and individuals are encouraged to participate and make a difference in their community. Check in stations open at 9:00 a.m. and will be at: Falls of the Ohio State Park, Ashland Park, George Rogers Clark Homesite, and Lapping Park in Clarksville, Indiana. Volunteers are provided gloves, trash bags, bottled water, a free tee shirt, and free admission to the Falls of the Ohio Interpretive Center that day. This annual clean-up event is organized by ORSANCO (Ohio River Valley Water Sanitation Commission) in conjunction with natural resource and environmental departments and agencies involving 6 states bordering the Ohio River.
