Webster Groves Community Days is an annual event to celebrate the Fourth of July holiday. The Citizen's Committee for Community Days organizes all of the activities for the event. The Webster Groves Lions Club also holds its annual carnival and barbecue charity fundraiser during the celebration. All activities (aside from the carnival, barbecue and Duck Races) are FREE to the public and are funded through donations from businesses, organizations and the citizens of Webster Groves.

THURSDAY, JULY 1 Family Day

Carnival Ride "Wrist-Band" Discount All Evening!
On July 1 only, wristbands will be available for children 12 years & younger for $35 so the children may ride the Amusement Rides as often as desired!

Pet Parade
Webster Groves Recreation Complex Gymnasium
Bring out the dogs, cats, pigs, chickens, iguanas, or whatever - if it's your pet, it qualifies for the Children’s Pet Parade! (Only wild animals are excluded.) Sponsored by Blue Ribbon Grooming, the Children's Pet Parade is open to children 15 years old or younger. This event is a long-standing tradition in the Webster Groves community. It is designed as a good-natured competition where pets, with some assistance from their owners, compete in a variety of categories. Blue Ribbon Grooming provides the prizes and unenviable judging positions for this ever-popular event. Categories of judging include Best Trick, Funniest Looking, Best Costume, Pet/Owner Look-Alike, Best Pet Joke (available to kids with or without a pet) and Best Float.

Rotary Club of Webster Groves First Annual Duck Race Extravaganza

Webster Groves Rotary Club and Webster Groves Parks and Recreation are hosting these fun and exciting Rubber Duck Races! First place finishers of each heat receive a $100 gift certificate to The Hub Bicycle Shop. With the purchase of a duck, you can also swim for free, beginning at 7:00 p.m. and there will also be many attendance prizes and a relay race between the Rotary Club and Lions Club that you won’t want to miss! Ducks are available for purchase at Sant Automotive for $2 each. Other major sponsors include Sant Automotive, Schaefer Auto Body, Total Access Urgent Care and Commerce Bank. Duck Race proceeds will fund a newly-created water safety classes for underprivileged area youth. Call Dick at 314-849-2900 for more information.

Miss Webster Groves Pageant

Webster Groves Aquatic Center
An ever-popular event associated with Community Days is the Miss Webster Pageant. The goal of the pageant is to select a well-rounded representative of the City of Webster Groves, who may appear at various activities throughout the year. Each candidate is qualified to be the next teen ambassador, Miss Webster Groves 2010.
The Webster Jazz Collective will serve as the Pageant entertainment again this year. This jazz band features extremely talented musicians, gifted beyond their years: Ally Hany (trumpet). Jacob Edwards (trombone), Joseph Winstein-Hibbs (drums,) Sam Fruend (bass guitar), and Bo Bray (guitar.) Play list consists of standard and non-mainstream jazz.
SATURDAY, JULY 3

Community Days Parade
Lockwood & Selma to Memorial Park at Elm & Glendale
"Year of the Arts” is the theme for this year’s parade. The Parade travels along a two-mile route through the streets of Webster Groves and draws a crowd of thousands of spectators with over 80 units. Of course, safety is of paramount importance, but parades are inherently risky, so it’s important that parade participants and spectators do all they can to help. Along the parade route, parents and adults should keep close track of their children and ensure that they are not endangering themselves by running in front of a parade vehicle to get a piece of candy or trinket. Remain on the curb or behind it. Safety is everyone’s job.

Webster Groves Action Park
MUSYC performs the music of James Taylor, Fleetwood Mac, Sheryl Crow, Crosby Stills and Nash, and other famous musical artists. You’ll groove and sing along to 3-part harmony and songs that everyone knows and loves. The band members are Roberta Mueller, and Baker Symes and Linda Chicoineau, who are Webster Groves residents.

Entertainment – Ticket to the Beatles (all Beatles)

All your favorite BEATLE songs will be featured, including Hey Jude, I Want To Hold Your Hand, She Loves You, Help, Hard Days Night, I Feel Fine, Let it Be, and Revolution. Everybody loves The Beatles, and TICKET TO THE BEATLES sounds like the real BEATLES. Band members include Baker Symes, Wayne Givens, George Smith, and Jim Laverty.

Webster Groves Action Park
A native of East St. Louis, Alvin Jett has been entertaining audiences throughout the St. Louis metropolitan area for twenty-five years. From a musical family, Jett quickly learned the rudiments of guitar and performing. He received his formal blues education playing with Tommy Bankhead & the Blues Eldorados, and honed his skills into his own fiery brand of hard driving St. Louis blues. The band performs its own unique style of original blues music as well as blues, R&B and rock standards. The track "Angels Sing The Blues" from the Phat noiZ' 2006 release Milk & Cookies was honored as Best Blues Song in the 2007 Independent Music Awards.
