The Santa Clara Swim Club is partnering with U.S. Paralympics, a division of the U.S. Olympic Committee, to host the 2010 Disability Meet in Santa Clara, October 2-3, 2010. All 16 members of the Paralympic Swimming Resident Athlete Program at the Colorado Springs Olympic Training Center (CSOTC) are expected to compete.
The Santa Clara Swim Club a long time supporter of Paralympics invites the community to attend this free event. "We want to increase opportunities for ALL swimmers to compete on the local, national and international stage we are excited to be the first club in Pacific swimming to host such a meet" says John Bitter head coach and CEO of Santa Clara Swim Club.
Among the competitors is local Pacific Swimming (LSC) athlete, Joe Wise (Menlo Park, Calif.). Wise trains with the Palo Alto Stanford club team and is 2008 U.S. Paralympian and a member of the 2010 U.S. Paralympics Swimming National Team. Wise recently returned from the 2010 IPC Swimming World Championships with a bronze medal in the Men's 5K Open Water event.
The competition is free and open to the public.

Saturday Evening Session: Warm-up 4:00PM/Meet Start 5:00PM

Sunday, October 3 - Morning Session: Warm-Up 8:00 AM/Meet Start 9:00AM
