2010 Communities in Schools Houston Gala with keynote, Life Is What You Make It: A Concert & Conversation with Peter Buffett October 28, 2010

For more than 30 years, Communities in Schools Houston has worked to help empower students to stay in school and achieve success in their lives as well as promote academic accomplishment. As the keynote speaker, Peter will drive CIS’s mission home with an inspiring, thought-provoking and impactful “Concert & Conversation.” Combining a cello-accompanied live piano and vocal performance with video clips of his film, TV, and philanthropic work, the “Concert & Conversation” traces Peter’s remarkable 30+ years in the music industry, while stressing the values of family and giving back to one’s community, locally and abroad.
