2010 CIE MathComp/MathFun June 5, 2010

2010 CIE/USA-DFW (CIE) MATH/COMP MATH/FUN event will be held on JUNE 5th, at the CONFERENCE CENTER, COLLIN COLLEGE, CCCCD, SPRING CREEK CAMPUS, at 2800 E Spring Creek Parkway Plano TX 75074, from 12:00 NOON to 5:30 PM.
The event will present a Math Competition for students currently attending grade one to grade seven this spring semester. The math competition is aimed at stimulating our youths’ interest in math and enhancing their problem solving skills. The tests will take between forty five minutes to one and a half hour. Grade winners will be announced during the award ceremony on June 5th at 4:00 pm in the conference center.
While your children take their tests, parents are welcome to engage with our parenting seminar speaker. We are honored to have Dr Titu Andreescu of The University of Texas at Dallas speak on the topic surrounding the importance and benefits of math competency. Dr Titu is a recognized math educator and Olympiad coach. The seminar is free.
After the tests, we invite all our Math/Comp participants and their parents to enjoy Math/Fun where you can challenge your critical thinking skills with math games and puzzles provided by participating local learning centers and math learning products providers.
