This year's 2008 Kaiser Permanente San Francisco International Dragon Boat Festival will mark the fourth year at the incredibly beautiful and scenic Treasure Island. With the continued growth of dragon boating in the Bay Area, the California Dragon Boat Association (CDBA) again expects record attendance in all divisions this year. This race, draws over 35,000 spectators and more than 100 domestic and international dragon boat teams. For 2 days, Treasure Island is blanketed with large tents, the smell of BBQ and the roar of spectators. So come join us for another great weekend of exciting, competitive racing, excellent entertainment and food, and great times on and off the water!
8 am to 5 pm on Saturday and 8 am to 4 pm on Sunday. The festival events such as Dragon Land and cultural performances run from 10 am to 4 pm both days. Free shuttles run between San Francisco Chinatown (Kearny @ Washington) and Treasure Island throughout both days.
* More than 110 novice and competitive dragon boat teams and over 3,000 paddlers from all over the U.S. and international locales for the largest competitive dragon boat festival in the country
