2008 Houston Dragon Boat Festival May 3, 2008

The Houston Dragon Boat Festival is a fascinating race down Buffalo Bayou in 40 ft, elaborately decorated canoes called "dragon boats". Teams of 21 people compete in all-day racing while there is diverse cultural entertainment every hour, arts and crafts booths, and different kinds of Asian food to sample. All this takes place right in the heart of downtown Houston, and best of all - it's free!
