Since the release of their self-titled debut in 2006, Bears have proven to be one of the most promising acts in Cleveland's indie scene. They have gone through several line up changes but most importantly, Bears is a vehicle for songwriters Charlie Macarthur and Craig Ramsey. In fact, many of the Bears recordings are simply the two of them. But live, they perform as a full six-piece band. There sound is rich with sugary bubblegum style pop melodies and jangly hooks and rhythm. Some songs let the rhythm section take a back seat and tread on laid back Simon and Garfunkel'esque territory. Either way, Bears deliver sweet and mature pop tunes with big pay offs. This show will be in celebration of their newest release, so come check em out and grab a disc!
