A sketch comedy group competition and festival!

Showcasing the best sketch comedy troupes to the industry and the public. The festival will be taped for a television pilot, and a portion of proceeds are to benefit charity. Selected groups will perform on stage in Los Angeles, and the winners of the 2006 International Sketch Comedy Championship? will receive a representation contract from a Los Angeles-based comedy booking agency, and other prizes. Selected groups may be offered a chance to be taped for television. Participation in the taping is not mandatory, nor will it affect judging.

These sketch troupes will be performing for the public and industry judges on April 1 at 8pm.

*A crowd favorite in Chicago, COMPETITIVE AWESOME have been called provocative, insightful and just plain funny. They recently completed a successful North American tour of The Story of Joseph King, a two-man show composed of exclusively original sketch works by members Mychal Utecht and Aaron Gingrich. Their style is a seamless mix of cultural, political, and historical satire.
