2004 Designer Festival of Trees
Enjoy a wonderful weekend of activities to engage you in excitement for the upcoming holiday season! There is no admission charge to participate in this fully accessible array of holiday happenings at Metropolitan Community Church of Louisville, 1432 Highland Avenue (just one block west of the intersection of Baxter and Bardstown Road) in the Highlands, 19 - 21 November.
Over sixty trees, wreaths, and ornamentals, decorated by area designers and florists, will create a Winter Wonderland amidst snow and animated figures, musical productions every hour, pictures with Santa and Ms. Claus, refreshments, and a Christmas Shoppe.
The decorated items will be sold in a Silent Auction and benefit the AIDS Project, Fairness Education Fund, Highlands Community Ministries, House of Ruth, Louisville Youth Group, MCC?s Deacon?s Fund, and Voices of Kentuckiana.
Designers for the trees include The Blossom Shop, Bob Kyser, Dennis Tapp Interiors, Discoveries, Doozies Floral Creations, Edenside Galleries, Harpring Florist, Hettingers Florist, In Bloom Again, Interiors by Herbal Accents, Iroquois Florist, Kenneth Ross Interiors, Lloyd?s Florist, Panache, Prestigious Affairs, R & K Creations, Swank Salon, Swanson-Reed Galleries, Vinnie Washeleski, and Wildflowers Florist.
The display and activities are open to the public Friday, 19 November, 6-10; Saturday, from 5-10, and Sunday from 1-5. Visitors are encouraged to bring canned goods for the Highland Community Ministries Emergency Assistance Program.
