Upon acceptance to the program a $500.00 deposit is required to hold your place the balance must be paid by September 17, 2009.
NOTE: A 3-5 page book report on either the 'Bhagavad Gita' (any author) or 'The Posture of Meditation' by Will Johnson (ISBN 978-1-57062-232-8) must accompany your application.
During training TTs can attend public classes free of charge at kula-kamala-yoga yoga studio
TT's have the option of practice teaching a public class for three months following training to help coordinate and manifest their teaching skills (guidelines apply)

Sharon, the primary instructor for this training, is certified by Yoga Alliance. She has taken over 700 hours of teacher training in the U.S. and in India and has earned three 200 Hour Teacher Training Certificates, one with Naime Jezzeny and Sue Elkind, Senior Certified Anusara Instructors, one in Sivananda Yoga and one in General Hatha Yoga. Her personal studies in yoga continue as they are a life-long endeavor. When her schedule permits, Sharon also teaches university courses at Temple University in the area of archaeology/anthropology. She holds an MA in Anthropology and will complete her Ph.D. shortly. Her academic research focuses on human and non-human skeletal structures, past diet and disease. As a result she has acquired extensive expertise & knowledge in skeletal anatomy.

Yoga & four planes of existence (physical, mental, emotional, & spiritual)
Basic Sanskrit
CPR Certification

TTs will acquire an understanding of:
Yoga as spirituality
Yoga as a science
Yoga as a lifestyle
Yoga as a business.

PRE-REQUISITES FOR YOGA TEACHER TRAINING:

A deep love and intense interest in yoga, and all its facets.
A willingness to learn and practice.
One year minimum of studying Hatha yoga.
COURSE REQUIREMENTS:
Students must:
Complete all required hours (200)
Complete all required readings and homework.
Complete two reports (TBD).
Maintain a journal.
Sequence & teach a one-hour yoga class
Participate in all aspects of training (unless medically excused).
Pass a practical examination.
Pass all quizzes and a final exam.
All quizzes and exams must be taken & passed and all hours completed in order to receive a Yoga Alliance (application pending) recognized 200 Hour Certification.
There is one retreat (TBA), dates to be announced and all TTs must attend
