The Duo “2” (Peter H. Bloom, flute and Mary Jane Rupert, piano) will perform a concert of fascinating contrasts, including Sonata in A Major BWV 1032 by J.S. Bach, Adelaide Opus 46 with variations by Beethoven, Aaron Copland’s "Duo 1971", Franz Schubert’s Theme and Variations Opus 160, and Kleemation (inspired by drawings of Paul Klee), a 2003 composition by Elizabeth Vercoe (“one of the most inventive composers working in America today” – The Washington Post).
