Summer is just around the corner and the Pleasanton Downtown Association is warming things up with their first 1st Wednesday Street Party of the year, Cinco de Mayo Celebration, on May 5 from 6-9 p.m. in downtown Pleasanton. Come join the fun. May’s featured band is The Houserockers.
One of the hottest, in demand and hardest working bands in Northern California, The Houserockers are a 10 piece Rock & Soul group from Los Gatos, CA that plays the greatest songs ever recorded.
Walk the middle of Main Street and visit booths set up by a wide variety of businesses to market and sell their products and services. While you’re strolling along, be sure to visit the many shops, businesses and restaurants located throughout the unique downtown. You’ll also have the chance to learn more about local community and nonprofit groups along the way.
Many other enhancements to the event can be found around the downtown. Look for Infineon Raceway’s pace cars, balloon-making clowns, and acoustic musicians! Stop by the Museum on Main to pick up a walking map and information about the Seward Johnson life-size bronze sculptures that will be located at various locations around downtown.
Need a break from roaming Main Street? Stop by the beer and wine garden located in the parking lot of Round Table Pizza where rock and soul doesn't get any better than the Houserockers! A variety of beers from Anheuser-Busch, Trumer Pil, and Pleasanton Main Street Brewery will be on tap. Local Tri-Valley wineries Fenestra, Occasio, and Wood Family Vineyards will be pouring their wines all evening. Free admission. Tickets for beer and wine are $5 and you must be 21 years of age or older to enter the garden. www.pleasantondowntown.net
