(Oklahoma City, OK) - The 1st Annual Mahogany Concepts Stomp Classic will be held Friday, February 13, 2009, at the Rose State Performing Arts Center, beginning at 7:00 pm. Additionally, this venue will serve as a vehicle to foster an appreciation for artistic diversity in the Oklahoma City metro area and provide an educational introduction to the arts for many citizens during Black History Month. Members of the general public are encouraged to attend. We especially welcome the students, faculty, and staff of area schools and colleges. Prominent community leaders such as Representative Anastasia Pittman, Miss Black Oklahoma USA 2009 and Past House of Representative Kevin Cox are expected to be in attendance.

In order to participate, groups must consist of at least three members. Members of organizations such as fraternities, sororities, civic groups, and or church groups are welcome to register and perform. A host of vendors will be on site to include jewelry and on site haircuts provided by celebrity barbers of Hopkins Haircare.

The winning group will receive a prize of $5,000. We will also offer confidential HIV testing courtesy of Guiding Right Inc. Anyone tested will have the option of entering a raffle for COACHâ„¢ products.
