1st Annual Cincinnati Youth Self Esteem Football Camp
Cincinnati, OH— On Saturday, June 5, 2010, Cincinnati will be hosting its first Annual Youth Self Esteem Football Camp. Ron Simpkins, former Cincinnati Bengal, the founder, states that the idea behind the “Self-Esteem Camps Program” is to use sports as the vehicle to motivate youth to do lead positive lives and believe in themselves.
This camp is the first of many we would like to bring to the greater Cincinnati area in the years to come. There will be over 100 youth participating in the camp ranging from the ages of 6-17.
The camp will be held at William Howard Taft High School football field from 10-1:30, where the youth will participate in drills, workouts, and position stations featuring some former Cincinnati Bengals including, Ron Simpkins, Mike Martin, Louis Breeden, Isaac Curtis, Barney Bussey, Ira Hillary, ML Harris, Rick Razzon and many more. The camp will close with a healthy lunch and a “Tell It Like It Is” Session.
Participating sponsors are Wayne State University-VAC Program, Mercy Franciscan Hospital, and Cincinnati Recreation Commission.
