Peninsula Volunteers, Inc., presents its 19th Annual Authors Salon Luncheon on Sunday, April 25, 2010, in partnership with Kepler's Books in Menlo Park. Best-selling authors of fiction, nonfiction and mystery include Chitra Divakaruni, whose novel "The Mistress of Spices" was made into a film; T.J. Stiles, author of "The First Tycoon: The Epic Life of Cornelius Vanderbilt" (winner of the 2009 National Book Award); Keith Raffel, author of "Smasher: A Silicon Valley Thriller"; nonfiction writer Gary M. Pomerantz, who mixes killing, a murder trial, and the Roaring 20's contract bridge craze; and Stanford Emeritus Professor of Psychiatry and Human Biology Dr. Herant Katchadourian, discussing guilt in its many perspectives. Moderating the event will be Nick Taylor, author of a historical fiction novel about the Civil War. Books will be available for purchase and signing by the authors.
