1920s Social Dancing: The Charleston and Collegiate Shag (FREE dance class) May 6, 2008

The Art Deco Society brings you Gottaswing instructors Joe and Tabitha Robinson giving a demonstration and instruction in The Charleston and a demonstration in Collegiate Shag. For the first hour, this class will focus on both aspects of 20’s Charleston. First focusing on the solo Charleston with Single, Double, and Triple time basics and crazy knees. After that we will partner up and focus on leading and following of these same steps while adding side touches, lead turn, follow turn and if time permits break away step. The second hour will be spent practicing the dance to music. Wear comfortable shoes, flats preferred.
