'1776' features music and lyrics by Sherman Edwards and a book by Peter Stone. This historic musical tells the story of the behind-the-scenes struggles of the second Continental Congress. Not only about political struggle and conflict, the personal dramas and emotional struggles of each famous delegate come to light during the course of the play. Songs featured in the show include 'The Lees of Old Virginia,' 'He Plays the Violin,' 'Momma Look Sharp' and 'Molasses to Rum.'
