The purpose of the Central Carolina Food and Wine Festival is to showcase local gourmet food purveyors, domestic and international wineries, and talented performers under one roof. Proceeds from the main event as well as all events leading up to the main event support efforts of Central Carolina Community Foundation to award grants to nonprofit organizations in the Midlands. In 2008, the Foundation distributed over $6.5 million in grants and scholarships.

Now in its 16th year, the Food and Wine Festival boasts more than 400 wines for you to sample and enjoy. Whether food and/or wine are a passion or a pastime, the main event is the perfect blend of education and entertainment. You are sure to enjoy gourmet foods, diverse and delicious wines as well as the industry experts who will be presenting their wines.

The 16th Annual Food and Wine Festival has a new date and location. The main event will take place on Friday, April 30, 2010, at the Medallion Center on Garner's Ferry Road from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. The Medallion Center is Columbia’s newest full-service contemporary conference and banquet facility and home of Tronco’s Special Events, an award-winning, family-owned business that has been serving Columbia for more than 17 years.
