165th Dies Natalis TU Delft January 12, 2007

Celebration of the 165th Dies Natalis at 15.00 on Friday, January 12th, 2007
On behalf of the Executive Board, the Rector Magnificus of Delft University of Technology is pleased to invite you to attend the ceremony marking the 165th Dies Natalis on Friday 12 January 2007.
The ceremony will be held in the Aula Congress Centre at Mekelweg 5 in Delft and will commence at 15.00 hours. Please be seated in the auditorium by 14.45 hours at the latest.
The theme of this jubilee year is sustainable technology. Sustainable technology is one of our hallmarks at TU Delft. We are already highly engaged, but what is our real contribution to a sustainable world in all its aspects? What are our strengths? These are questions that we want to address this year. We invite you to join us in this quest.

Prof. T.H.J.J. van der Hagen, Professor at the Faculty of Applied Sciences: “Energy Revolution: the Future is not what it used to be”.
Honorary doctorates will be conferred on:
Prof. C.J. Anumba, Professor of Construction Engineering and Informatics at Loughborough University, Leicestershire, United Kingdom.
Honorary supervisor is Prof. W. Patijn, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture.
Prof. M. Grätzel, Professor at the Laboratory Photonics and Interfaces of the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, Switzerland.
Honorary supervisor is Prof. J. Schoonman, Professor at the Faculty of Applied Sciences.

Reception
Following the ceremony, there will be an opportunity to meet the Dies Natalis lecturer, the honorary doctors, and their honorary supervisors at a reception in the foyer of the Aula Congress Centre.
