Celebrate the 150th anniversary of Abraham Lincoln's inaugural journey from Springfield, Illinois to Washington, D.C., with The Independence National Historical Park will. The event includes a parade that will march from Independence Mall's "People's Plaza," on Market Street between 5th and 6th Streets, to the north side of Chestnut Street. A presentation of Lincoln's speech by acclaimed Lincoln re-enactor Richard Fritz Klein takes place inside Independence Hall. Following the speech, Klein and other dignitaries will proceed outside to raise the 34-star flag over Independence Hall. Participants are invited to a question and answer session with Klein, National Park Service Rangers, and elected officials at the National Constitution Center's F.M. Kirby Auditorium.
