Hosted by Extra special correspondent and Y-100’s own Michael Yo and Ninalicia from “The Yo Show,” the event is an opportunity to bid on extravagant date packages and 24 of South Florida’s hottest and most eligible singles while raising money to grant the wishes of local children who have life-threatening medical conditions. This year’s event features two double dates up for bid, with actors from the Telemundo telenovela “Relaciones Peligrosa” included in one of the packages and two Florida Panthers Ice Dancers in the other. The evening also features raffle prizes, food, and drinks.
Friday, July 27, 2012 (doors open - 7:00 p.m.; auction begins - 8:30 p.m.). Tickets are $25 in advance, $30 at the door, $40 (VIP).
For more information or to purchase tickets, call (954) 967-9474, ext. 320 or e-mail ccohen@sflawish.org.
All of the event’s net proceeds will go toward granting the wishes of local children who have life-threatening medical conditions. A wish fulfilled enriches the human experience with hope, strength, and joy, something Make-A-Wish’s Southern Florida chapter has provided more than 8,000 times in its history. The nonprofit organization depends, in part, on fundraisers and donations from the community to enable it to serve children and families in Broward, Collier, Glades, Hendry, Highlands, Indian River, Lee, Martin, Miami-Dade, Monroe, Okeechobee, Palm Beach and St. Lucie counties, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The average cost to fulfill a wish is $5,000.
