Marin Youth Performers, 142 Throckmorton's Youth Program, presents Annie, Jr., directed by Adam Saville. Based on the popular comic strip, Annie is the story of a spunky Depression-era orphan determined to find her parents, who abandoned her years before on the doorstep of a New York City orphanage run by the cruel Miss Hannigan. In adventure after fun-filled adventure, Annie foils Miss Hannigan's evil plans; befriends President Franklin Roosevelt; and finds a new family in billionaire Oliver Warbucks, his personal secretary Grace Farrell, and a lovable mutt named Sandy. This classic story is told with memorable characters, and an unforgettable score that includes the blockbuster songs, “Tomorrow,” “It’s the Hard-Knock Life,” and “Maybe.”
