13th Annual Legs for Literacy 5K Run May 17, 2009

Come out and support the Cabrini-Green Tutoring Program by participating in the 13th Annual 5K Fun Run/Walk: Legs for Literacy. Sunday, May 17, 2009 at 9:00 a.m. The race takes participants through Lincoln Park along Diversey Harbor. Snacks and beverages available before and after the race along with music and entertainment and race-day prizes from Fleet Feet Sports.

Adults: $25 pre race registration; $30 race day entries; Youth 12-18: $15; Youth Under 12: Free. All proceeds benefit Cabrini Green Tutoring Program, Inc.

The Cabrini-Green Tutoring Program provides after-school tutoring for more than 200 students grades 1-6 from economically disadvantaged families. Students are paired with adult volunteer tutors once a week providing a safe, stable learning environment for each child.
