This stunning debut feature from 26-year old Gela Babluani looks like the work of a mature filmmaker - a taut, chilling thriller that probes the darkness of the human condition. Recalling Jean-Pierre Melville's exacting, minimal style, '13 Tzameti' (which means "thirteen" in Georgian) follows a young immigrant laborer, Sebastian (played by the director's brother), in a provincial French town as he blindly follows instructions for a job meant for his employer.
